One Last Step: Check Your Email

The mailing list server will now send you a message to confirm that you actually want to receive the newsletter. This is an extra step intended to reduce spam and unwanted email pranks.

• Please go and check your email now and reply to the confirmation message.
• If you do not respond, your subscription will not be activated.
• Look for an email from "Alertbox Announcement List Confirmation" with the subject "Please confirm your Alertbox subscription (reply required)"

If you do not receive this confirmation request within a few minutes, then the most likely problem is that you use a spam filter (see below) or that you made a typo in your email address.

If you do not receive the acknowledgment email, then please return to the subscription page and enter your address again, taking great care to avoid typos.

Spam Filter Users: Whitelist Newsletter "From" Address

The newsletters will be sent with alertbox@nngroup.com as the "from" address.

If you use a spam filter, please add this address to the whitelist to ensure that you will receive the newsletter.

The confirmation request is sent from a different address: sparklist-confirm-XXXXXX@laser.sparklist.com, where XXXXXX is replaced with a unique number for each subscriber. You will only get this one message from the list manager, so you don't need to whitelist the address, but you do need to find the message in your spam filter and respond to it to activate your subscription.
